Spring is with us, summer is fast approaching and the soft fruit season is once again nearly with us.

The strawberries are now in full flower. Asssuming a traditional May/June of sunshine and showers we hope to open our gates on Saturday 22nd June.

This year we have replaced many of our raspberries to extend our picking season with a new variety Glen Dee which should pick well into August. Anyone who has fond memories of forest blackberry picking in late summer will be amazed to find the new varieties of cultivars have doubled in size and fruit from early July onwards. We grow two varieties of gooseberries, and the green ones are rather prickly and gloves are advised.
