What a start to a season — Thank You from All of Us! 🍓

Published 15/07/2026

What a start to the season it has been. We are truly overwhelmed by the number of families, couples, and groups who have come through our gates this year, and we want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to every single one of you.

Watching children discover the magic of picking their first strawberry, seeing families spend a relaxed morning out in the fresh air, and hearing the laughter drifting across the fields — this is exactly why we do what we do. The response this year has been remarkable, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

A Little About Us

We are a small, family-run farm. There is no big corporate team behind the scenes — just us, working hard every single day to keep the fields healthy, the fruit at its best, and the experience enjoyable for everyone who visits. Every punnet picked, every family that walks through our gate, genuinely matters to us. This farm is our livelihood, and we pour everything into it.

That’s why we’d love your help in keeping it a place that everyone can enjoy, year after year.

A Few Simple Things That Make a Big Difference

We’re not ones for a long list of rules — but there are a few things that really do make a difference to us, and to your fellow visitors.

Please only pick what you plan to pay for.
It sounds simple, but it’s something we feel strongly about. Overpicking and leaving fruit on the ground causes real waste and real loss for a farm our size. Pick at your own pace, fill your punnet with care, and if you’re unsure how much you want, start small — you can always pick more!

Please don’t eat as you pick.
We know it’s tempting when the strawberries look that good — and honestly, we don’t blame you! But eating before you reach the checkout isn’t fair on us, and it isn’t fair on the visitors who are waiting until they’ve paid. We ask everyone to keep to this rule, and we appreciate your understanding enormously.

Please don’t picnic in the fields.
We love that families make a day of it, but we’re not able to offer picnic areas on the farm. Sitting down to eat in the fields — particularly unpaid fruit — puts us in a really difficult position. We ask that visitors enjoy their pickings at home, where they’ll taste even better for the wait!

Be kind to your fellow pickers.
Our fields can get busy, especially on sunny weekends, and we ask everyone to be courteous, patient, and considerate of the families around them — particularly the little ones who are still finding their feet (and their favourite rows!).

What We’re Doing on Our End

We hear you — and we’ve been listening to the feedback many of you have kindly shared with us. This season we have increased staff presence in the fields to help guide visitors and gently remind everyone of the rules. We’ve also introduced new security measures to protect the farm and ensure the experience is fair for all.

The entrance fee we introduced this year was not a decision we made lightly. It was necessary to help us cover the real and growing costs of loss, waste, and theft — and to keep our prices as fair as possible for everyone. We truly appreciate the support and understanding so many of you have shown.

Here’s to a Brilliant Season Ahead

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you. For visiting, for picking with care, for your kind words and messages, and for supporting a small family farm that loves what it does.

We can’t wait to see you back in the fields very soon. 🍓
